A specialist in dermatology performs a dermatological examination that includes examination of the skin and mucous membranes of the entire body, nails, and hair. The examination lasts about 20-30 minutes and involves:
• Conversation (anamnesis) with the patient about current discomfort, previous skin and other significant diseases, allergies, medications the patient is taking, family diseases...
• Review of previous medical documentation (if any);
• Dermatological examination - which can include observation with the naked eye, examination with a magnifying glass and light lamp;
• Advice and recommendation for further treatment (if necessary);
